Simulation Overview
You play the role of regional pricing manager for a multiplex chain in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. Each round is one month of operations.
Business context
You set weekday and weekend ticket prices for each city. Demand responds to your prices, the current season, and competitive positioning. Capacity is fixed; once seats are full, extra demand is lost.
The objective is to maximise cumulative profit, not just revenue or occupancy.
Cities & capacity
Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru each have fixed screens, seats per screen, and shows per day, which set a daily capacity limit.
Your decisions
For every month you choose one weekday price and one weekend price per city based on limited information about season, competitor bands, and capacity tightness.
How outcomes are calculated
A demand model with price elasticity and season multipliers estimates attendance, then revenue, variable costs, fixed costs, and profit are computed for each city.
